Everyone our client consulted said she should cover up the existing wood siding with HardiePlank or vinyl. We suggested a different tack: since the other three sides of the house were in decent condition, we encouraged her to replace the south side with new wood siding to match the original. This approach saved our client money, while also being the architecturally appropriate decision for the house.

Our client chose to keep the stone facades on the front of the home, so we sourced a paint color that would complement the warmth of the rock while also satisfying her request for a bright, pretty mid-tone color. We capped off this update with sleek new lighting and house numbers.

This is phase one of a multiphase project; next up: renovating the basement to serve as an income-generating vacation rental.
